Post Graduate Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO) is a postgraduate level Obstetrics Diploma course. This program prepares medical faculty in a specialty associated with obstetrics and gynecology.
The program, as mentioned earlier, coupled with clinical training, enables the practicing grad to be dexterous at the surgical management of the entire scope of clinical pathology about female reproductive organs and provide care for both non-pregnant and pregnant patients. Gynecology and obstetrics relate to the study of female reproductive organs in pregnant and non-pregnant conditions.
The gynecology syllabus includes, though not restrained to, obstetrics pathology, pregnancy-related common diseases, abnormalities during pregnancies, gynecological pathology, obstetrical operations, infant care, breastfeeding and artificial feeding, premature child treatment, general diseases of newborns, labor complications and so on. The program incorporates the scope for a research study of clinical and surgical training in gynecology.
PG Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGO) Eligibility
- Candidate should have passed MBBS or an identical course like BAMS from any Medical college that is recognized by the medical council of India.
- They must have completed a minimum of 1 year of compulsory rotating internship.
